How Blitzzio Works — Country vs Country Chess Puzzle Racing
Blitzzio is live chess puzzle racing with a national twist: every puzzle you solve earns a point for your country. The leaderboard updates in real time. Here's everything you need to know to start competing.
Step 1 — Pick Your Country
When you land on Blitzzio for the first time, tap "Pick your country" and select your nation from the full global list. Your choice is remembered in your browser. From that moment, every puzzle you solve counts as a point for your country. You can change your country at any time.
You don't have to be from the country you represent — but most people pick their home nation. That's where the competition gets interesting: real national pride at stake.
Step 2 — Solve the Daily Puzzle
Every day, one chess puzzle is active for all players worldwide. The puzzle resets in 60-second rounds — the same position, solved repeatedly throughout the day. Each round, your goal is to find the correct move sequence before the timer hits zero.
Click a piece to select it, then click the destination square to move it. The board checks your move automatically. If you're wrong, the board resets and you try again. Speed matters — faster solves rank higher on the round leaderboard.
Step 3 — Watch the Scoreboard Update Live
Every time someone solves the puzzle, the live scoreboard updates instantly for all viewers. You can watch your country climb in real time as your fellow countrymen crack the puzzle. You don't need to be a solver — viewers see every point scored live.
This is where the spectator sport element comes in. When Nigeria is ahead of Germany by 3 points with 10 seconds left, everyone watching feels it.
The Cheer Mechanic — How Non-Solvers Help
Can't solve the puzzle? Cheer anyway. Every click of the CHEER button adds to your country's cheer tally. When a country reaches 500 cheers, their active solvers get a 5-second bonus added to the round timer — they get extra time to find the solution.
Share the live match link with friends, family, and social media followers. The more people cheering for your country, the bigger the advantage. A crowd of non-players can genuinely change the outcome for a country's solvers.
The Global Leaderboard
Solve points accumulate over time on the global leaderboard. Countries that play every day, with consistent solvers and active fans, climb toward the top. Check the global leaderboard to see where your nation stands.
The daily puzzle resets at midnight UTC. Every day is a new chance for your country to score.
